Add Instub to Slack

Adding Instub to your Slack workspace takes about two minutes. You need Slack admin permissions, or you need to ask an admin to approve the app installation.

1. Install the app

Go to tryinstub.com/onboarding and click Continue with Slack. You'll be taken to Slack's OAuth screen. Review the permissions and click Allow.

2. Invite Instub to a channel

Instub only reads channels it has been invited to. In Slack, open the channel you want to use, type /invite @Instub, and press Enter. Instub will confirm it joined.

3. Tag your first task

In any channel Instub is a member of, type @Instub followed by a description of the task. For example:

@Instub summarise the last 10 messages in this thread

Instub will reply in the thread with a result.

Removing Instub

To remove Instub from a channel, type /kick @Instub. Its access to that channel ends with the membership. To uninstall entirely, go to your Slack workspace settings → Manage apps → Instub → Remove app.
